Linux Distributions


Since Linux is a Free Operating System and everybody can make their own additions to the OS (operating system), there have been several different "versions" of Linux, called Distributions.

These Distributions differ from each other in various ways :file structure, default programs, package managers and other area's.

Currently the most popular distribution is the RedHat Distribution with commercial support worldwide. Other distributions are also available as listed here.
